We Are Royal is a member-driven Harry Potter roleplay that strives to create an environment rich in character development and community without a restricting plot or binding expectations. We invite members looking for that 'forever home' in the roleplay world, a place that feels like an escape from everyday chaos, a place that doesn't force you to meet unrealistic requirements and offers general stress relief from everyday life. We will not set unnecessary expectations for you in order for you to travel through our pages, we simply ask that you know the basics of writing, grammar, and are here to write and engage with fellow writers.
Here at War we've taken the Wizarding World, what once was familiar and static, and expanded it tremendously with our own stories and lore. While War identifies as a Harry Potter roleplay it is so much more than that, offering a unique experience in the Wizarding World we've all come to know and love. Though canon is acknowledged up to the Battle at Hogwarts, such as the existence of Voldemort's reign of terror and defeat at the hands of Harry Potter, not a single canon from the books are currently present. While we are set in present day we've simply removed all traces of them in order to provide room for original characters and original canon. You are the main character of your story.
In fact, plenty in the original canon has changed here at War. Hogwarts, now simplified to Hogwarts School of Magic, has opened it's doors to a multitude of magical beings ranging from War originals like Dragonkin and Fae, to species you think you know such as Veela, Werewolves, Vampires, and, though heavily modified, Centaur. Knockturn Alley, in light of the fall of the Dark Lord, has become an extension of Diagon Alley; it's shops and businesses run by Centaur and Werewolves and Vampires. The Wizarding World has changed and, in their unity and strength, opened it's doors to other magic wielders and their worlds. Integrating magical users with magical beings is becoming the norm, times are changing, and while blood purity is a thing of the past, tensions are still rising -- after all, not everyone is so pleased with being considered equal to other magical beings.
Where do you stand in the new realm of magical politics?
